Senior Citizen’s Ministry (Ministry for those who are at the evening of life)

“In old age they still produce fruit; they are always green and full of sap” (Psalm 92:14)

The primary mission of this ministry is to provide social and spiritual support to the elderly persons and to make use of their different talents and time for the proclamation of the Word of God.
The elderly persons are the source of wisdom, energy and strong leadership. They have a deeper desire to serve God and they are all a cherished presence to help others to come forward for the spirit of gospel. We are moving to accomplish this through regularly scheduled spiritual activities.
St.Paul says, “So we do not lose heart, even though our outer nature is wasting away, our inner nature is being renewed day by day.”(2.Cor 4:16)

Second-career vocations are not a new trend in the Catholic Church; for instance, all the apostles were men who had previous careers before they answered the calling of Jesus Christ. Today, people from all walks of life, including retired men and women, leave successful careers as nurses, lawyers, engineers, teachers, secretaries, etc. to join or affiliate themselves with a religious community. They become priests, brothers, sisters or lay ministers with contemplative, evangelical or apostolic communities.
